The residents of the Noordendijk flats in Dordrecht are still fighting against their impending homelessness as a result of evictions on 8 March. After the solidarity action on February 25, we will continue to put pressure on all concerned housing associations, anti-squat agencies and flexible housing providers who are responsible for these unnecessary evictions. Stop evictions: Residents of Dordrecht Vogelbuurt flats demand housing security

In the flats on Noordendijk in Dordrecht's Vogelbuurt, housing corporation Woonbron is currently trying to evict a group of temporary tenants and exchange them for another group of temporary residents. The residents and the BPW are taking action to prevent temporary tenants from being exchanged for each other, resulting in people becoming homeless. The flats are rented out temporarily on the basis of the Vacancy Act, but will only be demolished after October. There is therefore no need to exchange residents for each other and thus make them homeless.

On Sunday 17 October we revolted against the housing policy in Rotterdam. A peaceful protest in which some 8,000 people took part. A protest that was brutally disrupted by the Rotterdam police on the Erasmus Bridge. Next Thursday, November 4, the Rotterdam city council will debate this one-sided and brutal police brutality. The violence on the Erasmus Bridge is yet another addition to the endless list of scandals at the Rotterdam police force.
