BOND PRECAIRE WOONVORMEN

The Bond Precarious Housing Forms and Kansfonds are collaborating! With the project 'Security of housing, the basis' we fight for social security.

Collaboration between the Opportunity Fund and the Association of Precarious Housing Forms: Housing security is the basis!

In the Netherlands, a growing group of people live in insecurity. Due to the flexibilization of housing contracts, tightness in the 'housing market' and rising housing costs, more and more people are finding themselves in a precarious living situation. More and more people live temporarily, insecurely or too expensively or are homeless or homeless. A home is more than a roof over your head; having a home is about existence. The Bond Precarious Housing Forms has been fighting against this demolition of our housing rights for more than 10 years.

We are joining forces with Kansfonds with the 'Woonsecurity de basis' project, together we want to provide an answer to the growing housing crisis and social insecurity in the Netherlands. We do this, among other things, by building solidarity and conducting research into routes that lead to homelessness. At a national and local level, the BPW organizes itself with residents to claim housing rights and to denounce abuses, for example by preventing evictions and imminent homelessness. Fighting even more homelessness is crucial in solving the housing crisis.

In 2023, the union will organize residential consultation hours, national campaigns and training courses in various regions. If you want to participate in your region or join a national BPW action, sign up! Learn more about joining and join can be found on the website.

The 'Security of housing for the basics' project is made possible in part by a financial contribution from the Kansfonds.

“The Kansfonds helps give at home.” Discovering together how things can be done differently and what the social causes of 'no home' are. Trying out bold solutions. And put a flywheel on what works.
