After an election result in which the demolishers of social housing and the right to a home were allowed to claim the profit, we will now also have to make our voices heard outside the voting booth. It's time for spring to arrive. It is time for dreams and visions, time for protest and resistance. Let's talk about the housing shortage and fight together for the right to housing for everyone: join Rentvolution! and come to Hofplein in The Hague on March 27, 2021!

COVID-19
As we face the COVID-19 pandemic, we must stay home to protect ourselves and others from being infected. The government is taking measures that force us to stay “at home”, but it prefers to ignore the fact that a growing number of people have no place to live, or are living in unsuitable or even unhealthy housing! Evictions are being continued steadfastly, social rental homes are disappearing and new laws provide further flexibility. The housing shortage of today is thus 'addressed' with the housing shortage of tomorrow. Incomes fall, benefits stagnate, but real estate prices and rents continue to rise. It shows who is benefiting from this crisis: the real estate economy, the investors and the banks. We can no longer accept this!
The sell-out of community and public resources for the benefit of the few is not an established fact but the result of capitalism, an unbridled exploitative economic system and the failure of social housing policies.
Rent evolution!
On March 27, the European Action Coalition will campaign for the right to a home across Europe. In the Netherlands, Diem25 took the initiative this year by organizing the Rentvolution! demonstration in collaboration with, among others, the Bond Precaire Woonvorm. During this manifestation, there is an active opportunity to talk to each other. To share personal experiences and stories, but above all to speak out together for the right to a home. Together we can change this!

Attention: During the demonstration, wearing a mouth mask is mandatory and those present are asked to keep their distance from each other. In case of large crowds, you may be asked to leave the square early.
If you can't come to the action day but do you want to work for the right to a home? Then join the Bond Precaire Woonvorm and join our struggle!
