For 317 euros per month you can already borrow a room at 'De Vastgoedbescherming'. Through creative interpretation of the legislation you are not treated as a tenant with rights. Instead, you 'use' the room, in a property that isn't really suitable as a home, while saving the owner money on security. As in a prison, your room is regularly inspected. Those who do not meet the haphazard requirements of the anti-rental company can pack their bags within a month.
Erwin has recently been a victim of these malpractice. He rents a room in the former town hall of Schijndel. A building that now still serves as an office(!). Despite systematic trespassing, Erwin has always done his best to meet the frenzied demands of his (non-)landlords.
Unfortunately that wasn't enough. His lock was forced and the room found 'not tidy'. To protect the real estate against this kind of reckless habitation, De Vastgoedprotector now wants to make Erwin homeless. They threaten him with a fine of 1000€ per day that he stays.
Fortunately, Erwin is not easily chased away. On the advice of the BPW, he reported this trespassing.
The case will appear in court on November 8 at 9:30 am and can be visited publicly at Leeghwaterlaan 8, Den Bosch.
Be there! Your rights are also at stake.
We gather in front of the Court at 9:15 AM.
Stop evictions. Get rid of these anti-rent strangleholds. Housing security for everyone. #fuckflex
