Politicize your insecurity. Come to our workshop!
We would like to invite you to a workshop on livelihood insecurity on Saturday afternoon 30 April in Utrecht.
More and more people are struggling with forms of insecurity. In the labor market, flexible contracts and low and irregular wages are now the norm rather than the exception. Vulnerable living conditions are also becoming completely normal, and the social safety net is showing increasing gaps.
Due to the growing insecurity we are all in the same boat. Flex workers, anti-squatters, postmen, refugees, unemployed, students, cleaners and tenants. Yet we are successfully played against each other. We fight each other for the crumbs, while together we must raise our voices.
In this workshop we want to reflect on the consequences of the 'precarisation' of living and working, but also look ahead. How can we organize ourselves?
Various activists, researchers, groups and organizations are participating, including the Bond Precaire Woonvorm, Doorbraak, and the FNV. Come too!
Date: April 30
Time: 2pm-5pm
Location: Casco, Lange Nieuwstraat 7, Utrecht.
If you intend to participate, please email Ying Que at ying@cascoprojects.org stating 'Afternoon program'.
In the evening there is also a program with presentations and a film screening. For more information, see the facebook invitation.
