On Friday 21 November and again on Saturday 22 November, housing activists from Berlin will screen the film Mietrebelen in Amsterdam. Afterwards there is the opportunity to discuss with each other.
“The film is a kaleidoscope of the tenant struggle in Berlin against displacement from the social fabric of your own neighbourhood. An occupation action of the Berlin Town Hall, a camp at the Kotbusser Tor, organized resistance against forced evictions and the struggle of tenants to preserve their homes for the elderly and their community center, symbolizes a new eruption of an urban protest movement.”
