BOND PRECAIRE WOONVORMEN

Theme meeting Temporary Housing 22 October Zaandam

Themed meeting about vacancy, flexible leases, rental rights, anti-squat, solutions and pitfalls
Date: Wednesday, October 22, 2014
Time: 8 pm
Location: Slachthuisstraat 67, (former school building 't Anker), Zaandam
Everyone welcome, Free entry

The housing market has been quite locked up for years, especially in the Randstad. While (affordable) housing is scarce, there is at the same time vacancy. It is a challenge to better match the available space and the demand for housing. This can partly be done by repurposing buildings and making temporary occupancy possible.
The central question during this meeting is whether there are conceivable alternatives for the management of vacant buildings that meet the needs of corporations and municipalities as well as the rights of home seekers and tenants. In addition, other topics are discussed, such as tenancy rights of temporary residents, the deployment of vacancy managers, the role of the corporations, the municipality and property owners.
Representatives of the Bond Precaire Woonvorm, the Woonbond and ROSA will put forward their points of view and ideas, after which there will be ample opportunity to start a conversation.
