Mass eviction threatens in Hoofddorp!
Residents' committee Alea Iacta Est (no turning back from here) and the Bond Precaire Woonvorm (BPW) are therefore organizing a solidarity visit to Ymere on 5 July at 14:00.
Dozens of temporary residents of homes in Hoofddorp-Oost are in danger of being evicted soon. Housing association Ymere wants them to sign anti-squat contracts with Interveste. But the residents are tired of being pressured and refuse to sign a rights-free housing contract so that they can be evicted at any moment.
Do you want to rent temporarily for more than five years? That simply means a permanent rental contract, or the right to replacement housing and a relocation allowance. Ymere, be a social landlord instead of one that outsources the tricky business to anti-squat agencies.
We no longer accept that house seekers/temporary residents/families/children/people, who are forced to live in temporary structures, are explained away and blackmailed as second-class citizens. We are full-fledged people who do not want to be condemned to a precarious existence. Residents therefore deserve a helping hand in this stressful time.
Do you live precariously? Then be Solidarity!
Show your support to the residents and come to the Ymere office on 5 July at 14:00.
Location: Mayor Pabstlaan 10 in Hoofddorp.
